How Camp Snooze actually works, day by day
Aug 10, 2026Camp Snooze · how it works
I got this question last week and I have been sitting on it, because it is such a good one and it deserved more than a caption. So let me talk you through how Camp Snooze actually works, from the day you sign up to the day you graduate.
For anyone new here, Camp Snooze is my two weeks of virtual group sleep training. It was an idea I had last year, we launched it in January, and it has sold out almost every fortnight since.
- 74 babies through Camp Snooze so far
- 2 weeks of virtual group sleep training
- Every 2nd Monday a new intake starts
- Worldwide families join from wherever they are
Before camp starts
When you sign up you receive an intake form. We want to know all about your baby. Their weight, so we can work out the percentile they are on. Their schedule, sleep logs and feeds. And your goals for the program.
From that we write a personalised sleep plan. It covers the environmental changes we are going to suggest, how you are going to dress your baby, your schedule, your feed times and your overnight plan.
That plan lands in your inbox on the Friday before camp starts. Camp Snooze always begins on a Monday, so the Friday send is deliberate. It gives you the weekend to get a different TOG rated sleeping bag if you need one, to rearrange the room, and to start easing into the schedule if you want a dabble before night one.
You also get access to the Snooze membership from that Friday, and to a private forum for your intake only, with me, Bec and the other families doing camp alongside you. You will start hearing from me over the weekend, with onboarding videos for the things worth knowing before Monday.
The daily rhythm
Monday, the onboarding call
Bec and I meet all of you at 10am Melbourne time. We do a mini roll call, work through each family, and talk about how you are feeling and any questions about your plan.
We also talk through which of our three sleep training techniques you are thinking of starting with on night one. That is not a test. It tells us your comfort level, so we know what to anticipate for you and can walk you through how to actually implement it.
Every morning, 7am
You get a post from me asking for your 24 hour sleep logs. Bec and I go through every one with a fine tooth comb and write back with notes, suggestions, tweaks and a great many exclamation marks about that dropped night feed.
Every morning, 10am
The roll call. We work through one family at a time, we celebrate you, we give you scheduling suggestions and we coach you.
You do not have to stay for the whole call, and if you need to miss one or you are running late, just tell us. They are all recorded and they live in the coaching call library.
Funnily enough, most families stay on anyway. It becomes your village for the fortnight. We work with a range of ages, so you might have a six month old while somebody else is at eight or nine months talking about food prep, dropping from three naps to two, or starting childcare. There is a lot to learn from the village.
Every afternoon, 2.30pm
A check-in post for troubleshooting the day. Naps often do not go to plan, particularly in the first week. You can tell us nap two finished early, here is what I tried, it did or did not work, and we will guide you so you go into the night as well rested as possible.
It is completely optional. If your day has been smooth sailing you do not need to check in. But it is there, and it exists mostly to take the mental gymnastics of wake windows, timings and feeds off you.
Saturday and Sunday
We spare you from having to appear on camera in your pyjamas. Not that we would mind, but you have probably got a brunch to get to. The 7am logs and notes still happen.
The final Friday
A graduation call, where we celebrate what everybody has pulled off.
And then another two weeks
Your Camp Snooze sign up sees out the month in the Snooze membership. So if you are still finessing a nap, or you hit a snafu three days later after a completely smooth fortnight because two teeth popped through or a virus arrived or you are going away, Bec and I are in the Q&A forum. We already have all your context, so we pick up exactly where we left off.
The forum is yours
The private forum is there for you to use, not just for us. Even when Bec and I have logged off for the day, families share photos of first spoonfuls of solids, recipes, well stocked freezers, naps on the go, and how a baby handled a wedding or a weekend away.
Use it as your parents group. That is where a lot of the value ends up living.
